Eatery Offers Authentic Taste of Italy

The goal of Lombardo's Pasta Bar is to provide good food in a quaint, friendly atmosphere where one feels at home, which it seems to have done very successfully.

Located in downtown Cullman in the Steifelmeyer Building, the Italian eatery is owned by Russell and Patty Lombardo of Cullman, Alabama. Their daughter, Tiffani Reynolds, manages the eatery.
Our History

The three family members do all of the restaurant's cooking. They make most of the food by hand, including the sauce, lasagna, and manicotti. Lombardo's offers Italian food using, literally, an old family recipe. Russell's grandmother, Maria Assunta Lombardo, immigrated to the United States from Sicily in the 1900s. She brought with her the authentic culture and Italian recipes, which she passed to her daughter-in-law, Rose Lombardo, Russell's mother. Rose Lombardo then handed the sauce recipe down to her son and daughter-in-law, who now base their business on the authentic recipes they inherited.

Russell and Patty opened the restaurant 10 years ago. Their specialita include spaghetti and meatballs, manicotti, capellini pollo, lasagna, a combination plate, and the meatball sandwich. As for insalate, a house salad and chicken salad with fruit. Lombardo's dolci, or dessert menu, includes the famous tiramisu, New York style cheesecake, cannoli, baklawa, and spumoni. Even the bambini menu is offered for the little ones. Russell lives by the rules of his ancestral country and appreciates the ultimate compliment.

"If you clean your plate, you're true Italian!"
